For .info to succeed like anywhere near .com it must establish a definite identity
for itself. Most web users must associate .info with useful information about
the subject of the generic name that's used to get to the site. Giving business trademark
holders first go at the generic names was therefore a poor move. I hope the majority
of .info registrants will set up useful informative websites as soon as possible
to establish the link between .info and information. If users keep getting
company websites and domain parked signs when they access .info pages then it is
likely to fail as a domain extension.
