millions of .com names being deleted for nonpayment |

All kinds of .coms are still available, in addition millions are being deleted for
non payment. Most of these are names that were probably bought by investors that
could not justify paying for them. The confusion is not minimal. The problem is
not so much the confusion between nnn.biz, nnn.info, nnn.net, nnn.org and nnn.com
in and of itself, for example. The greatest detraction to DNS entries being memorable
is that for every url that you remember that is in a different TLD from the others
that you remember, it becomes more difficult to remember which 2nd level is in which
TLD. The end result is that it is more diffult to remember as many urls. This
problem was not present with the initial com net org because global distinction applied
to the registrants. .info and .biz attempt to blur any distinction.
