I called Afilias about this and they said that sunrise names are locked for 180 days ( 6 months )and they said that they will be challenging fraudulent sunrise registrations and running a second landrush / lottery later which may be of the same type just done. The guy was really quite helpful and suggested that my best strategy for a ( already registered sunrise ) generic was to wait. He implied that if I ( without trademark ) challenged a generic and won it, then I maybe challenged by Afilias in December.
