It is quite clear that Afilias and ICANN don't give a shit about any of this. Whatever their reasons, they have made a point of refusing to discuss it. Both behave like they are accountable to no-one, and bank on the hope that those people who may wish to expose their irresponibility will not form a group. But they have been sloppy- the whois data shows incriminating evidence of fraud and corruption on the part of Afilias board members. There is only one language that these people understand. Legal action.
