IOD is the .WEB choice! |

Note to IOD: Consider yourselves "premafrozen"... My
dear Mr. Mole, Is it your position that IOD's .web is in a state similar to permafrost
because of the existing registrations? I would humbly suggest that is not the
case. First, the one and only .web registry is very active, indicating a nice
and fuzzy warm state of being. Now, yes, perhaps this existing registry is
'frozen' (for now) from the root, but that is because somebody wanted someone else
to operate .web. Specifically, some within ICANN wanted Afilias to get .web.
Now that we see Afilias' registry capabilities, it is most fortunate that they didn't
get a popular TLD like IOD's .web. So here we are. ICANN looks the village
idiot while their love child Afilias has lied to ICANN and us, all the while providing
clear instructions on how not to operate a TLD. But, I digress... You seem
to take issue with those who had enough prudence to realize a good thing when they
saw it. Might I suggest that you run over to www.webtld.com and claim your
space in the future of the Internet? S. Hudgens
