Oh, I've understood all along. I just don't see the value here. If our customers
really want their .web names to resolve, they can ask that we place them under webtld.com
(instead of web.com). That's only 3 more letters. So foo.web would be foo.webtld.com
(instead of foo.web.com). But nobody's asked for that. Our customers realize
that the value here is in the TLD in that they can get the easy-to-advertise name
that they couldn't get in com/net/org, and that our goal is, as it always has been,
to create competition at the TLD level. That's something we didn't have before
November, 2000, and, looking at who was chosen, something we still don't have.
