Had ICANN and WIPO been doing their job properly - they could have CLOSED TLDs e.g. .singer and .actor etc.

> Originally TM owners rightfully claimed back their TMs due to reasonable 'passing off' arguments

I believe ICANN, WIPO and US DoC corrupt - because they could easily stop 'passing off' with closed TLD of .REG

e.g. apple.com is redirected to apple.computer.us.reg

dot REG acts as certificate of authentication and directory.

No 'consumer confusion', 'trademark conflict' or 'passing off'.

As you know many different businesses use the same words.

There are 727 other using word 'apple' in the USA alone, plus more in 200+ countries.

They could then all use their trademark - without 'consumer confusion'.

But it would stop Apple Computers having dominant position on the Internet, wouldn't it?

Like said - I believe the authorities are corrupt.
