virtually all trade under .com." Dot-net is not defunct. Many companies use
it instead of dot-com. "I agree that .biz gives the impression of .hardsell . The
only appropriate kind of business I can immediately think of where it would be appropriate
is domains- pure no-messing about purchasing." Dot-biz could be appropriate for
other sales websites and business-to-business websites, and some consumer websites
[like show.biz or movie.biz]. However, most dot-biz websites will sound like
dot-sleaze [like get-rich-quick infomercials and slick snake oil sales].
