Sorry if I sounded like I was slagging it off. Go for it. It's always worth a try. I wish you luck. I'm sure you'd make a lot of money out of all the speculators anyway, and at least you're prepared to talk to the public unlike Afilias (apart from the Fleming diversion). My only speculation is that in descriptive terms, I don't think it offers much new. And .net seems to be a poor man's .com these days- rather a different role to its original Internet infrastrucure meaning.

Having said that, I think you'd get more visitors to a .web than a .biz other things being equal.

I'm not against the idea of having a .web. What sort of companies do you envisage would want a .web over the other gtlds. For example the distinction is very clear between .com, .org, .net and .info. .biz comes along and it's not offering anything new. What about .web?
