I know you disagree with one of these statements, I just forget which one.1. There
is only one .biz, which is owned by Neulevel. The ICANN root is the only real root,
and calling it "legacy" doesn't change anything. Alt roots should be either completely
ignored or forcibly told to go fuck off.
2. Neulevel's .biz lottery system is really
the only choice they have for fairness.
3. IOD's .web should be allowed into the
ICANN root if and only if it purges its database. This is to prevent anyone from
profiting simply because they bothered to grab IOD names. (Speculators are grabbing
them now in the hope that IOD's .web WILL see the real root.)
4. Although Afilias's
WHOIS is cause for some concern, and its trademark challenge system seriously needs
some work, Afilias is neither completely incompetent nor corrupt. They DO have the
right to 10,000 names as per their agreement with ICANN.
