3. IOD's .web should be allowed into the ICANN root if and only if it purges its
database. This is to prevent anyone from profiting simply because they bothered to
grab IOD names. (Speculators are grabbing them now in the hope that IOD's .web WILL
see the real root.) Okay, tell you what. I'll be happy to recommend this to our
board, if you can get: 1. All illegal .info sunrise registrations purged 2.
All lottery .biz registrations purged. Many didn't buy them because of the lottery.
That's not fair 3. All .com names registered for FREE before they started charging
in 1995 purged. That's not fair to new users of the Internet 4. All of the .us
names in existence purged before .us starts up again, as it's not fair to those who
already registered them. You get all that to happen, and we'll purge too. Let me
know when you're done.
