".web registrants are waiting for the tld to be adopted by the ICANN root, that is to say the real world.  Prior to this acceptance there is very little point in developing sites as they can only be viewed via the people resolving the alt roots (which decided to include .web).  Alt root users are of no consequence to the commercial world - thats why the number of alt root users remains so low." Don't you think name.space registrants aren't waiting for the tld(s) to be adopted by the ICANN root? Name.space was nearer to that goal than IOD. New.net, too want to become a part of the ICANN root.
