Subject: Thank your lucky stars that was a company called New.net, who had the guts to stand up to ICANN..

ICANN is now seen as a the bully boy with only political savvy and repressive tactics and nothing else, and with the authority to call all challenges a 'cheap trick'. As an internet user, New.net gave me a clue into what the internet could become, and I respect that imagination. Without New.net, we will all be yes men to ICANN. And just like Microsoft, ICANN should be sued for a repressive regime and monopoly of the gTLD.

ICANN argues that this would cause confusion, but but but, aren't there over 200 cctlds riding on the legacy root causing confusion? .tv, .fm, .ws, .ca, .tm, .etc.....????

I appreciate that ICANN has a role in helping prevent anarchy on the internet. But there is a fine line between being competent, and being incompetent, in dishing out that responsibility for the worldwide community.

So far, I have been disappointed.
