Masters doesn't mean much these days. |

Anyone can get a masters degree. For a start it is not a particularly major achievement.
Basically it's just an extension to a first degree usually focussing on one key area.
More in depth analysis is expected, and you there is greater emphasis on research
than attending lectures. Most people with a first degree could get a masters if they
had the time to devote to it and the funding. Time and funding are the main prerequisites,
not a superbrain. There is also a thriving market in writing assignments and dissertations
for masters students, so even if you're not up to scratch academically, you can still
fake it, if you have the money,and a lot of people do!
