I happened to come across the New.net
board today....One of their official New.net Moderators (Wireless) had this to say
about collisions (he was giving Jim F, the "biz")--lol:
>>>>>>Isn't
ICANN's .BIZ the only .BIZ to most people these days? Why cause more confusion by
promoting the alternative .BIZ anymore?
What about an alternative .COM registry
that uses plugins? Wouldn't that cause confusion? Is that something you would promote?
<<<<<<<
I think before New.net sanctions these "official
moderators" they had better get them up to speed on issues effecting the DNS.
This moderator purports that somehow the advocacy for the "old biz" is harmful to
the internet....Yet, he fails to see the collisions New.net domains "with plug-in'
would cause if ICANN ever came out with more of the same TLDs (god forbid).....To
this end, New.net almost guarantee's that ICANN will not come out with any of the
same TLDs....Gut Instinct: New.net will last as long as enough speculators
keep buying them...
Ah, give them a forum to speak and they cancel themselves out
