mta.com belongs to something called the Metropolitan Talent Agency, in Los Angeles, and has nothing to do with New York's MTA.  It doesn't seem to have a functioning website, with or without the "www" before it.  mtainfo.com belongs to something called "Mission To America", and doesn't have anything to do with New York's MTA either.  So I don't know what point you're trying to make about the domain use of the MTA, which seems to have properly followed the naming conventions by not using any .com domains given that it's not a commercial outfit.       --Dan Dan's Domain Site: http://domains.dantobias.com/
