With respect, I think you over-estimate the value of random type-in traffic. I
would say that random type-in traffic accounts for very little of most site visits. Sex.com
would account for most of this random type-in traffic. The value in domain names,
is that they should be memorable for the consumer. Which is why bloggsandbraithwaite.co.uk
type names are crap for advertising and marketing. I do not know if Bloggs and
Braithwaite exist - but if they were insuance company, they would get more traffic
(profits) with the memorable insurance.co.uk (LLOYDS got it).
