opinion:
This 'lack of planning' was planned.
It has enabled them to extract
the most profit from the situation.
To claim ignorance and lack of due care will
enabled them to evade fraud charges in a court of law.
No validation of data enables
them to make more profit.
Even a trainee programmer knows you have to validate
data entry (e.g. TM matches the domain and valid date entered).
Further, to not
spend 30 seconds to check with the online US, UK etc. trademark databases shows they
are only interested in the money.
There is only one logical conclusion that could
be drawn: Money and abuse of power, it can only be - corruption.
