Good, except none of the seven new TLDs offer any competition to the crowded .com
namespace. It should be obvious to even the most casual observer that the whole
intent for introducing new TLDs was to give some competition to .com. It is
also obvious to anyone with the intelligence of a lab rat that ICANN doesn't want,
in any way, competition with .com. Their funding comes from companies who now
make their living hocking sixteen-letter .com names. This is also why .web was
refused as a TLD. Above all others, .web was the one TLD that could complete
with .com. ICANN knows that. Most of us who post here know that.
Let's wait and see if the ICANN Gestapo is willing to admit they screwed up in the
