.museum is FINE for museums.... and fundamental classification heuristic
systems tend to support this: the larger and less specific the category, the shorter
the "classifier", and vice versa. So, for a narrow, specific class such as museums,
a relatively long suffix is acceptable, whereas for a very large category, eg
businesses in general, the shorter the suffix the better (eg: .biz). {Somewhat similar
to the concept of coding using fewer bits for more common occurrences, more bits
