I favored .per (for Personal) myself, which would have been consistent with the earlier
TLDs which consisted of three letter abbreviations of different categories of entities. .name
sounds a little silly, since *all* domain names are names, aren't they? However,
I agree that the creation of a structure for .name that makes it uninteresting to
speculators is an intentional design feature of the TLD, and that it might actually
succeed for its intended purpose.
