To the people here wondering if they got a challenged name because the registrar
let it go through and it showed in the whois - that's absurd. This happens
every three weeks or so with afilias. A couple weeks ago they "released" two character
names. Its when they are working on the database and accidently open part of it up
to registrations that this happens. Call afilias and see. No names were released
whatsoever. So whatever you did at your register or whatever you saw in a whois,
forget about it. Total mistake. Happens all the time. All of it will be erased. Released
names, the ones being challenged now or the ones that will be bulked challenged,
will be announced in advanced. Of course, now you have to get the money refuned
back to you from your registrar. Good luck with that one!
