Who protects the consumer? - Well, from ICANN's performance |

in the selection of Afilias Ltd. as the .info registry; ICANN's approval of the .info
Sunrise IP protection/anti-cybersquatting clauses; ICANN's silence on Afilias and
its registrar's instances of TM fraud and cybersquatting; ICANN's silence over the
Landrusher's loss of what, USD$3,000,000 in preregistrations due to the ineptitude
of the Afilias Sunrise administration; ICANN's silence over Afilias's inadequate
communication with its customers and its lies by omission; ICANN's silence over the
fact that five months after the .info Sunrise, Landrushers have yet to be advised
as to where their money went and whether they will have standing in Landrush 2, just
for starters...... I would guess that protecting the consumer is down to the likes
of you and Garry Anderson who maintain "consumer advisory" web sites. Did you
guys ever apply for the job? Seems to me that there has never been a better time
for a shake up and shake out at ICANN. It's time to get rid of those individuals
at ICANN who have responsibility for the abomination of the Afilias .info launch. (go
to bed Richard)
