Assignment vs. License |

An assignment is an all-out transfer of all of the owner's rights in the trademark,
including any goodwill that comes with that mark. An assignment is quite different
than a license, which is the grant of permission to use a mark in some limited manner.
It doesn't transfer any property rights in the trademark. In my colleague's case,
the TM holder was not willing to part with its trademark. It looks like Hera Ventures
& Investments Ltd. has simply bought the 'casino' trademark from another company.
