Don't worry, this one is definetly getting challenged,
they are recovering all country names as per the press release below:
MONTEVIDEO,
URUGUAY – September 10, 2001 — Afilias, the .INFO registry, today announced that
the ICANN Board has authorized its general counsel to instruct Afilias to temporarily
reserve certain country names included on the ISO3166-1 list. ICANN's resolution
comes in response to a Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC) communiquè dated September
9 that recommended this action.
"We are pleased that the governments of the world
have embraced .INFO and view it as a tool that will aid the proliferation of information
about all of the countries of the world," said Hal Lubsen, CEO of Afilias. "The GAC's
recommendations underscores the innate benefits to which .INFO possesses as a top-level
domain that translates around the world."
Pursuant to this resolution, ICANN will
send Afilias a list of the country names that must be temporarily reserved. All names
not allocated during the Sunrise Period will be reserved, meaning they will not be
eligible to be registered during Afilias' open registration process for the general
public that will commence on September 12. If any names on this list have already
been allocated as part of the Sunrise Period, then they cannot be reserved but may
be subject to challenge under Afilias' Sunrise Challenge process. Any names that
are successfully challenged by Afilias will also be temporarily reserved.
