A "grandfather
clause" would allow current dot org holders to keep their name, WITHOUT having to
be an organization. THAT would be fair and equitable. All new registrants
would have to be legitimate organizations.Of course alll this is pure speculation
of what ICANN will do. My opinion is that ICANN will need to identify whether
or not "org" and "net" will become restricted if they adopt rollouts which will be
"restricted" in the future. An indicator of things to come maybe already "foretold"...in
that ICANN is now using ICANN.org for it's main address.... Gregory
