Okay, okay - so I am easily pleased :-)This is the page on the UN WIPO site that
contains the long list of Trademark Offices.
I only just noticed it - did not see
it on December 16, 2001 (when I posted the list here).
It just confirms what I
have been saying.

WIPO Ecommerce -
Trademark Database Portal
Note that not all intellectual property offices have
publicly accessible on-line trademark databases and that any searches using the links
provided on this site will not be sufficient to determine definitively whether or
not the domain name is infringing.

Basically
they are saying; even after you check everywhere on the planet that they can point
to - they may still take your legally held domain name from you.
Still, as long
as WIPO get their fat hands on those nice cash fees - that is okay then.
With virtually
every dictionary word trademarked, most domains infringe on one. All domains are
bound to cause 'consumer confusion' to trademarks - so loads of money coming in for
WIPO.
