Your right about a Sunrise Period for trademark holders taking the "openess" away
from .info and I agree it was very unfair. I believe the trademark holders getting
generics is worse than the fraudsters ending up with them. .Web would make a great
open TLD and there is probably no better if the internet naming system was staring
today. The problem is that ICANN knows this and doesn't want it competing with
and taking registrations away from .com. However, due to the strong support
for .web in the past which is still there for the most part from IOD and its supporters,
ICANN will probably be 'kind' enough to let IOD have it as a resticted TLD only.
