It is true that .info has intrinsic credibility because it is recognized universaly.  But, I am getting more and more convinced that having an extension in legacy root is insufficient to make it mainstream.  There has to be a commitment behind the product and Afilias has not demonstrated it so far.  Afilias should either stand behind its product and promote it with more energy and creativity or explain why they are not able to that.  Is it lack of money?  Or they have given up on the extension which has every thing to become an extension of choice for netizens.
