That is what Afilias is.  Registrars.  Afilias is a consortium of eighteen of the world's leading domain name registrars.  It is probably a safe bet that most of the .info registrations were through these eighteen.  I know there are more, but these are the biggies. So, what you are saying is that while only Afilias gets $5 - $6.50, Afilias also gets the balance of the $35!  What a racket! About the marketing situation:  This ought to be one of the biggest freaking outrages on this forum.  Instead of discussing all of Afillias' failures, would somebody please list some successes?  That should make for short discussion.
