The issue comes down to bad faith. If you registered it because you're a competiting
candidate, then one could argue that this constitutes bad fatih. If not, the first
amendment (assuming you're in the States) right to assert your opinion about a candidate
would be protected if you legitimately use the site to post your qualified opinion,
don't extort/hold the domain name for ransome, and don't purport to be associated
with the candidate in any way. And yes, the candidate can still sue for other torts
such as defamation if you propogate libellous and untrue assertions.
