In another effort to promote .info sites I have created
the first .info Awards in the Internet. Since some weeks, specially since the
creation of the first .info Directories and .info Search Engines (Directories like
- Economia.info and DomeBase.com; and Search Engines like -DotInfoSearchEngine.info
and now SearchOnly.info) we have realised that there are already plenty of
useful (professional and personal) sites that use the .info. So I through ¿why not
establishing a prize for them? And this is how it came the idea just two days ago.
For
this first edition, the ".info Awards" will have three categories (Media, Professional
and Personal). The selection process of new candidates it is very simple, all of
you, the people of the Internet, will be able to vote the .info sites that are more
interesting or useful. The candidates will be accepted until the en of August 2002,
and the second week of September 2002 we will publish all the results and the winner
for each category. Until then I will update the votes and the candidatures in the
url that you can see under this lines. And you know what? incredible but there is
already one candidate (MTA.info) wel done for the first participant.

Tell
me please what do you think about this idea. I would also appreciate if you make
for me a bit of promotion of the awards telling about it to your friends. All together
we will make .info the better extension in the Internet to find information about
any subject.
