Subject: This forum alerted ICANN and Afilias to Sunrise fraud - BEFORE Afilias directors...

...started obtaining Sunrise names with false Trademarks!

On 3rd July and 15th July messages were posted on this forum, highlighting the way the Sunrise system could be abused, and the actual rules for eligibility... and e-mails were sent to Afilias and ICANN which went unanswered

Then on 26th July Afilias Board member Govinda Leopold obtained Hawaii.info and Maui.info ... and three weeks later (after claiming it was a mistake) she obtained Govinda.info on 15th August... ALL these domains were obtained using fake Trademarks

Later, other Afilias directors were discovered to have made fake Sunrise applications as well...

In the end, it was members of this forum who "went public" and got coverage for example on the BBC for their claim that 20% of all Sunrise registrations were fake. Michael Palage resolutely denied this figure, talking about 5 to 10% but Afilias have had to admit this forum was right.

On what grounds does Stuart Lynn regard this forum as "a joke"? All along, the voice of the Internet public has requested fair play and transparency. WHO IS THE JOKE???
