The pro's and con's posted by ICANN show clearly that there is no reason really for more TLDs. Why then proceed? Who is to benefit? If all companies called williams want a williams.TLD we will need 10.000 new TLDs. It is madness. The train is running, registrars can make their plans. But who really want this? As for chartered TLDs: these will either fail, because the charter is applied losely or contain so little names that they are merely confusing. I would say abcunion.org, goyamuseum.org is easier than abc.union, goya.museum and whatever people will come up with...
Stop it while it is still possible! Please see www.abunde.net.
