I think that not only should the new TLD's be increased in number, but that
their
topic should be regulated FIERCELY. This could be very important for
simplifying
the filtering and searching power of the Internet. Any site that
obviously does
not keep with the "topic" of the TLD will be temporarily
disabled..adult -
That would be a good domain for topics that (a) are inappropriate for
children,
(b) are of a non-educational sexual nature, (b) are related to socially
unacceptable
practices, behaviors, and preferences.
.research - This would be a site, educational,
no profit, or otherwise, totally
dedicated to research, development, etc.
.tech
- Sites that have to do with technology, science, computers, etc., but are
not
commercial sites. Sites that aren't necessarily research, but technologically
oriented.
.store
- Commercial sites that specifically sell merchandise online. The
customer must
be able to handle the entire transaction online to qualify.
.business - Commercial
sites that sell merchandise or services, but not online.
If the actual purchase
transaction doesn't take place online, then it qualifies
for this domain.
.service
- Commercial sites that specifically offer services online. The sale of the
service
must be processed online.
.industrial - Industrial based business (steel, manufacturing)
that does not sell
to end users, but instead to other companies, government agencies,
and
organizations.
.family - Guess... non-commercial family oriented sites.

political oriented sites.
.library - Online libraries or other reference related
non-commercial sites.
