      Why are you repeating this post from somewhere else?

Your premise that .cc would stand for "credit card" would be built on a marketed lie.

Furthermore, it is too specific a feature of commerce. I mean, yeah, they have to use credit cards in transactions. . . but not all DO. And it is as silly as saying, .browser would be a great suffix, because everyone knows that websites come to people via browsers!

Your whole case is built on a house of cards, in my book. I know my .webs are a risk, but the .web, to me is attractive. I know .cc is attractive to you, but it all requires a lie (that .cc stands for Credit Card) and the belief that the public would EVER embrace a TLD based upon the concept of credit cards.

I dunno.
