I forgot to mention I agree with what John Graham (jmgraham) said on previous post: "I can't believe all the numbered questions for public comment. It's like ICANN is saying "we've made up our minds so don't talk about important issues... choose only those things we have laid out." Most of the numbered questions ask the public to choose between several terrible alternatives. The underlying message is always "should we give big business lots of control or should we give big business total control?" Whatever happened to giving big business no control?" I seriously doubt they will do anything practical for trademarks, like dot reg - it will mean upsetting the big boys.
