Despite supposed recent congressional efforts to revitalize rural America using the
Internet as a tool the government and everyone else has missed the boat. Small communities
can't even get consideration for a top level domain if they a) do not have US postal
mail delivery (section 6. does not allow PO boxes on the form) and b) if it does
not come from a town official.Anyone who has ever lived in a truly rural community
knows there are no public officials and there might be no mail delivery. That doesn't
mean the community does not exist on maps or there is no Post Office.
Those are
incredibly short-sighted RFC requirements.
Another point to consider. If the newly
formed DOC has nothing to to with the TLD structure what are they planning to accomplish?
In my opinion thats a serious waste of time and tax payers money.
