Q7: To ensure continued stability, what characteristics should be sought in a proposed
TLD and in the organization(s) proposing to sponsor and/or operate it? A7: There's
no 100% safe way, but initially it would be good to carefully check the solidity
and seriousness of the candidate Registry, and the possibility of another entity
to take over in case of failure. In practice, for "commercial" gTLDs, the "marketability"
of the gTLD can be a criterion: a new candidate will see the interest in "buying
the business". In other cases, the possibility of an "institutional" party to
take over could be evaluated.
