To be honest, I think all preregistrations should be done away with. This issue has
been heavily debated on both sides already and I honestly don't think I can come
up with anything additional to add, nor do I wish to create another thread of flames
and insults.For the sake of discussion...
What about the CORE preregistrations
of .web, .shop, .firm, etc.?
What about the 1 million (claimed) .web registrations
from the Dot WEB Registry Pte Ltd? (http://www.icann.org/yokohama/EOI6.htm).
I've
been looking back through ICANN and DNSO archives of forums and mailinglists and
from some of your own posts you said you are aware that the preregistrations may
not stand and you said you were willing to accept that.
I guess we'll know the
decision re: all this soon enough.
