The above definition is for the big corporations. Whom seem to think a forum is somewhere to send their emails at the very last minute. They might as well have sent them direct. They are selfish and unconcerned to us all.

This, of course, is so we run out of time to scrutinise the contents.

I will forgo my usual mantra, to point out their greed in wishing to monopolise the Internet. They have no concern for us, other than as providers of money for their fat-cat bosses.

Just one example, out of very many, AT&T response:

>Q40: Are there any types of new TLDs that should not be included in the initial introduction? If any types should be excluded, why?

ANSWER: blah blah blah, with strong safeguards for trademark protection, blah blah blah, how trademark protection would be implemented, blah blah blah, UDRP, blah blah blah, a fast track UDRP is undertaken on determining whether the name should be granted.

We do not support adding personal TLDs at this time.  blah blah blah, whether and how trademarks and other protection for famous names would be addressed, blah blah blah.  We recommend that any consideration of personal TLDs be deferred.

So they do not even want you to have JohnDoe.tld - says it all.
