I agree wih your points with some remarks:* the efficiency of current system could
be improved instead of
bringing new TDLs.
* the re-differentiation amongst
com/net/org TDLs and individual
management ot them under different registries
could help a lot.
Thus each TDL would adress to it's specific target fields
and
people would not be pressed to buy all thre TDL versions of their
names, anymore.
The capacity of current DNS could be increased by 100 times
through a proper reorganization of existing model.
* if the concern
is t protect the intellectual properties, who
will protect the rights of
domainname owners, since I believe
that domain names are the trademarks
on cybermarket.
* If necessary only general purpose, non-business TDLs should
be added to the existing portfolio.
* The new registries should be non-profit,
cost-recovery
* uncontrolled, undifferentiated inf-troduction of new TDLs will
be
even bigger source of problems than the present situation.
