I would like to strongly urge the committee that if it decides to
enforce non-profit
status on new .org domain registrants, that it fully grandfather existing .org domain
holders. Failing this, I would suggest that existing .org domain holders be
grandfathered until the date their domain registration would normally expire, as
of the date the new rules go into effect. (In other words, for .org domain
holders who would no longer qualify for .org domains, simply do not allow them to
RENEW a registration, but do not revoke an existing registration)-Mark Shapiro
