I sincerely hope this begets
the attention it is due. I feel the full oversaturation of .ORG and .NET by
commercial entities that have no remote moniker of association with either TLD.
I would like to see it put forth that .ORG entities be placed back
to the former glory of non-for-profit organizations but with at twist. Allow
non-commercial entities to use this as an alternative, especially amidst the filing
requirements to be ratified as NFPO. Such as individuals, research or development
projects, clubs, friends, etc.. This has become a relative common practice,
so lets chase the dot-commers out of the .org world and let them fight over the scraps
they have left for themselves.
How it were when you could
trust a .NET address to be some facet of internet network infrastructure.
Anyone want to see that again?
