I do not regard ICANN's authority over domain names as lawful, nor do I believe
the control by the USA over everything that is dot something should be accepted.
And that's valid for this new .org change.ICANN structures are not democratic,
the ICANN maffia is not elected by a sufficiently representative sample of the Internet
(and that's when they do not self-appoint).
There is an extraordinary amount of
corruption within the domain names distribution and a few people have made millions
of dollars as a result.
Do the right thing and tell ICANN where they can shove
their corruption. Domain names should be freely available for all at a minimal cost
and the only requirement should be that of fairly using the name for the purpose
of running a website. Sites with no content would see their names returned to the
global pool within 21 days of not complying with an order.
