As a person who registered a .org domain because the .com and .net
domains were taken, I have several questions - would the .org be
retired naturally?  That is to say - as people stop paying for the
.org domains, that domain would be allowed to lapse and only
re-registered by a non-profit?

If not, what domain would be given out to those people?  Some of the
.org's have been running for a long time, with their name being part
of the "name recognition"...

If I were in the business of domain names, I would be more concerned
by the .net domain.
