Millions of little guys, the ORG domain owners and their visitors, about to be screwed in a deal to keep the pockets of a few fat cats, at VeriSign, lined with a steady revenue stream for the next six years. All the while, a well spun press release tells us how this deal best serves the Internet community, tactfully repeating the word "community" no less than thirteen times. So what's new?

As an owner of several ORG domains, registered in the belief that it was the most appropriate TLD for my non-commercial, non-network information sites, well established under their current ORG names, I am appalled that ICANN would even consider a deal that could potentially lead to the loss of my domains. But why am I not surprised?
