I think ICANN should rethink this .org change of status proposal and do it fast.
The level of protest next week that we will see regarding this change will have this
before congress in no time - probably linked up with other perceived injustices.
I don't think ICANN can survive another inquiry into its practices by congress with
the intense level of protest fueling this investigation. I would appeal to ICANNs
own sense of self preservation to rethink this and to do it with nimbility. I offer
this with respect and with the hope that we can avoid a major setback in the developement
of the internet as this can only lead to delays with development should it go to
