It is a big assumption to say they (ICANN) has the "best intentions" in mind.
It appears that this is a back-room deal that is benefitting VeriSign heavily.
Otherwise....why only a meeting way out in Melbourne, Aust.?! How about a "town-hall"
public tour to all the major cities/sections of the world for individual input?
...or how about a clarification and web-voting mechanism to have some real input
on the proposed changes.
