"novel idea of fairness and delivering services", Bret Pritchett - St. Charles, IL |

Name: Bret Pritchett Email: bret@oasysconsulting.com Location: St. Charles,
IL Org Name: Proposal: I support the .Org Foundation's proposal. Their
proposal is based on the novel idea of fairness and delivering services at prices
consistant with costs and market pressure. The monopolistic controlling of
other registry entities such as .tv show just the opposite issues. The extreme
anti-competitive measures that VeriSign has taken to slow the movement of their customers
to other vendors in the .com, .net, and org registries has been criminal. Yet
they keep using the same tactics. That cannot be rewarded. ORG was intended
for non-profit organizations that serve the community in many ways. Non-Profit
organizations can gain greatly from use of the web but they have been very slow adopters.
Any measure that would serve to simplify their trek would pay dividends to all of
us.Non-Profit Organizations: YMCA, IT Resource Center
